Work from home massage
An unprecedented number of employees are now working from home. Many will continue to do so permanently.
Around the world, COVID-19 has compelled employers and employees alike to recognise the many benefits of working from home. Many organisations are already beginning to make homeworking a standard part of how they operate in order to retain those benefits in a post-COVID-19 world.
In the face of COVID-19 and the radical changes forced upon society, ways of working have been adapted as quickly and effectively as possible – ‘making do’ in many cases.
Greater care should now be taken to understand and manage the risks of homeworking as well as the benefits.
Employee homes are not designed for everyday homeworking. Sub-optimal workstations using limited space and furniture, the disruptive rhythms and routines of home life, the erosion of work/life boundaries and isolation from colleagues and teams – all of these challenges and more are undermining personal health and wellbeing.
In particular, poor posture and the stress of work/life imbalance are doing real damage.
Massage therapy in the workplace has been helping employers to maximise employee productivity whilst promoting and safeguarding employee wellbeing for many years.
It helps to combat stress whilst also helping to bring relief from headaches, discomfort and pain. Regular treatments can help to undo the tension and knots that accumulate over time, especially in the neck and shoulders.
Work from home massage offers all the benefits of workplace massage, delivered to your employees while they work from home.
Work from home massage is a seated acupressure massage service, providing 30-minute treatments per employee in their own home – fully or part-subsidised by the employer.
Seated acupressure massage is a modern, practical solution, bringing massage therapy conveniently into the home. It does not require a lot of space and can easily be accommodated in most living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens or conservatories. It is performed over clothes and without oils. All equipment is provided with the service, including a professional massage therapy chair. Treatments can be scheduled for times convenient to both employee and employer.
The highest standards of hygiene are maintained – all in line with Government and Federation of Holistic Therapists guidelines. Clean visors, face masks, linen and equipment are used for every appointment. Rigorous risk assessments and training have been undertaken to ensure a safe service and minimise transmission risks. Please see my COVID-19 policy for full details.
